Tim Rhoades, CFP®

Tim Rhoades became a part of the LPL Financial network of independent financial service providers in January of 2014. He is a managing partner in WilliamsonRhoades Financial Strategies as well as the vice president of Institutional Capital Resources. Prior to going independent he was with Morgan Stanley for over 5 years. Tim also served over 20 years in the banking industry surrounding Des Moines, Iowa. His focus during that time was being a trusted advisor to small business, sole proprietorships and consumers. Tim served in executive management concentrating on retail clients, and was a member of the bank’s board of directors. Complimenting these skills, Tim’s current role is to be the primary financial advisor for individual clients as well as delivering tailored advice for financial institutions.

A strong work ethic was developed while growing up on a farm near Guthrie Center, Iowa. Tim finished high school in Carroll and attended Iowa State University where he received a degree in finance. Additionally Tim is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking from Madison, Wisconsin and has a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM designation. Tim and his wife are residents of Polk City Iowa and have one daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren who live in the area. Outside the office Tim enjoys gardening and is an avid reader. Civic responsibility has always been a priority. Tim has held leadership positions in the Polk City Chamber of Commerce, Polk City Development Corporation, served as Lt. Governor for the NE/IA Kiwanis and was a member of the City Council for Polk City for 12 years. He presently is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
